Salary Brackets: 25,749-28,085 P/A with additional benefits including 38 days holiday, meals on shift, contributory University Pension scheme, Interest-free loan to purchase a bicycle for work, Discounted bus tickets to travel to work (c.5% discount).
Alumni Relations:
- Manage alumni inquiries through emails and calls, updating alumni details in the database, and engaging alumni on social media.
- Represent the College at events and provide support for alumni visits and tours.
- Contribute to the production of termly e-newsletters and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Event Management:
- Assist with planning and managing various events including graduation ceremonies, reunion dinners, and academic talks.
- Take the lead in organizing specific events like garden parties, society dinners, and alumni sports events.
- Manage attendance, prepare event materials, and handle online booking systems.
Other Responsibilities:
- Build effective relationships with various stakeholders, represent the team at operational meetings, and attend university-wide Alumni Relations meetings.
- Undertake necessary training and professional development, provide support for team members, and perform other duties as assigned.
Person Specification:
The role is open to candidates with customer-facing experience, office administration or events experience, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively, strong IT skills, flexibility in working hours, and readiness to contribute to the College's unique community. Additionally, candidates with voluntary or informal experience will be considered.
