Senior Financial Analyst, Real Estate

Location: Oxford, UK

A global leader in the life sciences sector, renowned for investing in pioneering research and technology, is seeking a Finance Analyst with experience of Real Estate or Construction to join their head office team in Oxford.

This is a unique opportunity to create value and drive returns across a portfolio of large-scale real estate development projects. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial oversight for all projects, with a focus on budgeting, cost analysis, cash flow forecasting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes in line with project timelines
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Partner with project managers to provide financial insights and support performance tracking
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and cost analysis with commentary
  • Monitor and control project costs, highlighting variances and recommending cost-saving measures
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external financial regulations
  • Support audit preparation and manage interactions with auditors
  • Drive continuous improvements in systems and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency

Skills

  • 3-5 years’ experience within the real estate or construction industry (essential)
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially astute
  • Excellent communication skills with experience managing multiple stakeholders
