Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a growing organisation based in Oxford to recruit a Part Time Finance Director. The Finance Director will receive a salary between £80,000-£90,000 (pro rata based on circa 2-3 days per week. £80,000-£90,000 would be based on a full-time salary). This role can be flexible on how you make up your hours across the week and it will be mostly remote working, you will be expecting in the office around once every 2 weeks.

Primary responsibilities;

  • Business and financial strategy, forecasting and planning. Acting as a Business Partner to CEO and Senior Leaders
  • Execute the responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards.
  • Reporting to the Board and member of the Executive Board
  • Management of Assistant Account, including motivation and training
  • Monitor key business KPIs, Asset Management and budget to ensure that targets are met and presents operational, sales & financial status reports and KPIs on a monthly basis to the Executive Board
  • Management of annual audit
  • Management and development of finance policies, system and processes
  • Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual financial statements.
  • Other areas of responsibility include company insurance, trademarks and copyrights, legal agreements, legal areas and activities, corporate level negotiations, major supplier/customer/partner relationships and regulatory bodies relationships.
  • Review and advise on commercial contracts and proposals.

Key experience and attributes;

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques, as well as a very high level of commercial awareness
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influential skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
