The Burford Recruitment Company is proud to partner with a respected Chartered Financial Planning firm to find their first dedicated Paraplanner. Based in Oxford, this is an exciting chance to join a family-focused practice and take ownership of the paraplanning function, contributing directly to the firm’s continued success.

With approximately 200 valued client families, our client is dedicated to delivering bespoke, high-quality financial planning advice. This standalone role offers a unique opportunity to work autonomously, collaborate closely with advisers, and make the role your own while benefiting from a friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shape the Paraplanning Function

  • Work closely with advisers to deliver comprehensive financial analysis and tailored suitability reports.
  • Lead the development of workflows and processes, including managing the firm’s back-office systems (Intelligent Office).

Support Adviser and Client Success

  • Conduct research, compile recommendations, and ensure FCA compliance across all operations.
  • Provide an approachable and professional point of contact for clients, ensuring outstanding service delivery.

Contribute to Investment Strategy

  • Participate in the Investment Committee and assist with the development of third-party investment strategies.
  • Utilise TimelineTech for accurate cash flow modelling and client data analysis.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Diploma in Financial Planning (working toward Advanced Diploma preferred).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Paraplanning, with strong knowledge of investment, pension, and life products.
  • Exceptional analytical, administrative, and communication skills.
