Events Catering Staff / Food Service Assistant

Location: Oxford, OX1
Shifts: Wednesdays and Fridays (with additional flexibility for other event days)
Pay Rate: 12.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Events Catering Staff / Food Service Assistants. In this role, you will play an essential role in providing a high-quality food and beverage experience for guests at a range of events, from corporate meetings and private gatherings to larger celebrations. We are looking for candidates who are customer-focused, professional, and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Food and Beverage Service: Set up and serve food and drinks courteously, upholding high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Event Setup and Breakdown: Assist in setting up tables, chairs, serving stations, linens, and other items required for events, as well as helping with post-event cleanup.
• Guest Interaction: Offer excellent customer service, including warmly greeting guests, answering menu questions, and addressing guest needs promptly.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure all food preparation and serving areas are clean and organised throughout the event, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow catering and event staff to deliver seamless service and a positive guest experience.
• Adherence to Policies: Follow company guidelines, including health regulations, safety policies, and food handling protocols.
• Inventory and Supplies: Monitor and report inventory levels; replenish supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and complete other physical tasks as needed.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
• Professional Appearance: Must adhere to company dress and grooming standards.
