We are looking to appoint proactive, enthusiastic and hardworking people to supervise lessons and support students learning. Whilst maintaining the schools high standards of behaviour, when teacher colleagues are absent.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who has previous experience working in education or may be considering a career working in the English education sector. This is also a great opportunity for a English graduate based in Oxford looking to begin their career in teaching. There are also extensive opportunities to support children with SEN if this is something you are interested in or passionate about.
Main responsibilities of the English Graduate Cover Supervisor will include:
- Manage the behaviour of the class to ensure students are working in a constructive learning environment.
- Supervise the work set by their subject teacher.
- Act as a role model and develop productive working relationships with students.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and health and safety of the students.
Ideal English Graduate Cover Supervisor will have:
- Degree in English
- Previous experience working in a school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage challenging behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students in their learning
