Role & Responsibilities:

  • Engage in every stage of the product lifecycle, from defining specifications to early models and final production.
  • Break down system-level needs into specific technical requirements and system designs, converting these into FPGA-based solutions.
  • Create and implement FPGA systems, with coding in languages like VHDL or Verilog, for applications such as signal handling, data collection, and control mechanisms.
  • Develop and apply communication methods (e.g., Ethernet, PCI, USB, UART, SPI, I2C) for linking with external devices and systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of direct experience with the design and debugging of digital and analogue hardware interfaces.
  • A degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering or similar disciplines.
  • Knowledge of design and verification tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Vitis, System Verilog and UVM.
  • Experience with standard FPGA and SoC architectures.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ or similar for the development of embedded software.
  • Experience with QuestaSim or ModelSim.
