IT License & Renewals Officer **

We have teamed up with a local authority situated in Oxford that is looking to hire a IT License & Renewals Officer to work within the IT Innovation / Digital Service.

Contract - 4 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.

Full Time Hours - 37 Hours per week.

Location - OX1. (Hybrid working could be on offer)

Rate of Pay - 22+ per hour - Negotiable depending on experience.

Main Duties:

  • Understanding the complexity of OCC's software portfolio in an ever-changing market.
  • Maintaining records of IT Supplier Contracts on the Corporate Contracts Database.
  • Management of the complexities of corporate enterprise licencing, checking, preparing and submitting the annual true up for our Microsoft Enterprise Agreement worth 1.5M each year.
  • Managing the renewal for application and licence renewals and retirements for cost centre managers.
  • Supplier interface between IT and the supplier marketplace.
  • Challenging and negotiating suppliers to achieve the best price and value for all renewals.
  • Ensuring Council compliance for all Software used, monitoring usage and re-allocating unused licenses to ensure efficient and effective use of purchase software licenses.
  • Critical cost-based IT reporting for Senior IT Management on spend Commitments & Renewals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with IT Technical resource and Suppliers to manage the procurement of complex corporate enterprise licencing.
  • Working with IT & Procurement on all aspects of the procurement process for purchases 75k>.
  • Maintenance of IT supplier contracts on the corporate contracts database and IT's functional requirements.
  • Build and delivery of timely reporting forecasts to cost centre holders within IT
  • Build and delivery of timely reporting renewals, replacements and retiring applications for all IT.

Experience/Knowledge Needed:

  • Local Authority / Public Sector.
  • Working with complex licencing procurements.
  • Working within a Technical department.
