Are you an experienced SENDCo in the Oxford area? Need a new challenge and be apart of a progressive Senior Leadership Team? Start a new role in Education and Training.

A primary school in OX3 is opening their doors to their newest member of the SLT. All SENCO candidates must be NPQ qualified. Their student body has increase numbers of SEN and suspected SEN, the Oxford based primary wants to accurately support their diverse pupils in the best way possible. You will play an integral role in this in the SENDCo role.

The SENDCo role

  • To take a strategic lead in developing and evaluating SEND practice within the school and overseeing the day to day operation of the school's SEND policy.
  • To value each child's uniqueness and promote their full development with the Catholic ethos of the school, guided by the values central to our Mission Statement.
  • To be a member of the School Leadership Team.
  • To raise the standard of achievement of CYP with LDD.
  • To increase staff confidence and competence in teaching CYP with special educational needs.
  • EHCP Leadership: Lead processes for Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), assist with reintegration timetables, behaviour plans, and risk assessments.
  • To ensure pupil entitlement to the National Curriculum.
