The Opportunity
As part of the Building Energy Performance team, you'll collaborate with specialists in building physics, net zero carbon, building fabric, and building services engineering. This diverse team provides cutting-edge solutions to both public and private sector clients, helping them navigate an evolving landscape of energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

The role is ideal for a commercially aware professional who can manage multiple projects, oversee client accounts, and provide expert technical guidance. A background in architecture, building services engineering, or another core professional discipline before specialising in sustainability would be highly beneficial.

This position provides the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, digital skills, and project management abilities, while also contributing to decarbonisation and retrofit strategies-key elements in addressing climate change and shaping the future of sustainable buildings.

Key Responsibilities
Client & Business Development
Engage with clients, professional organisations, contractors, and suppliers to develop and maintain business relationships.
Lead and contribute to project bids and proposals, including pricing and strategy.
Identify and pursue business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
Project & Technical Delivery

Take ownership of building energy performance, decarbonisation, and retrofit projects, from initial strategy to implementation.
Develop comprehensive site-wide and estate-wide energy reduction strategies.
Conduct detailed energy performance calculations using industry-standard software.
Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and feasibility reports.
Ensure high-quality standards by adhering to quality assurance, document control, and governance processes.
Collaboration & Innovation

Work closely with global teams and digital specialists to drive forward innovative solutions.
Represent the company at client and contractor meetings.
Conduct site surveys and inspections to monitor project progress.
Mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Accreditation
Degree in a relevant discipline (architecture, engineering, sustainability, or a related field).
Chartered Engineer (or working towards CEng) with CIBSE or IET.
Professional accreditations in sustainability, energy, or carbon management.
Technical & Industry Knowledge

Strong expertise in building energy performance, passive design, and fabric-first approaches.
Experience with energy and carbon data analysis, decarbonisation strategies, and net zero pathways.
Knowledge of building regulations, BREEAM, NEC/JCT contracts, and sustainability policies.
Ability to manage project budgets, track progress, and adapt to changing scopes.

Skills & Competencies
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communicator, able to present complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, energy modelling software, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
