About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead a well-established gastro pub in the heart of Oxfordshire. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pub, ensuring smooth service and excellent customer experiences.
- Manage and develop a team of front-of-house and kitchen staff, providing guidance, support, and training.
- Maintain high standards of food and drink offerings, working closely with the kitchen to develop menus and seasonal specials.
- Ensure the pub operates within budget, monitoring finances, stock levels, and performance metrics.
- Drive revenue growth through creative marketing, promotions, and community engagement.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and the local community.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, legal, and licensing requirements.
- Take ownership of maintaining a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
About you:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.
- A passion for high-quality food and drink and delivering exceptional customer service.
- A keen eye for detail and an ability to maintain high standards in all aspects of the operation.
- Financially astute, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and driving profitability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
