Art Teacher

Salary: £34,329 - £51,763 (aligning with MPS + SEN allowance)

Job Type: Permanent, Fulltime. 

Reed Education are looking for an Art Teacher to join one of our SEND Secondary Schools in the Oxfordshire area!

The school provides exceptional support to students aged 11 – 16 years with a range of Special Educational Needs and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Each student has an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to identify and support their induvial needs to ensure that each student can thrive.

Art is an incredibly popular subject amongst the students at this school, therefore, we are looking for an Art Teacher who is passionate, creative, and dedicated to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves a challenge and is passionate about delivering engaging, top-quality lessons in art!

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience as a SEND Teacher is ideal.
  • Experience of working with students across at least two key stages.
  • Experience working with children with complex special needs including ASD and SEMH.
  • Must have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS status).
  • Must have taught art currently or in the past, or at least have been involved in artistic practice (on top of additional requirements).
  • Must drive or have access to personal transport, as the location can be tricky to get to via public transport.
