Your new companyYou will be working for a large maintenance company at Churchill Hospital

Your new roleYou will working as a hospital porter undertaking a variety of tasks as required.These can include

  • Transportation or escorting of patients on bed/trolley/chair etc. and all other general portering duties within the site.
  • Dealing politely, efficiently and professionally with patients, other staff and visitors at all times.
  • Delivering meals to patients
  • Delivery/relocation of products/materials, furniture, equipment, post and supplies within the site.
  • Bagging, segregation and transportation and disposal on-site of rubbish and waste materials of all descriptions.
  • When on night shift, deliver linen requirements to all wards and departments to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Cleaning and general upkeep of wheelchairs using correct cleaning substance provided.
  • To use computerised helpdesk system to log and close off job requests, and allocating jobs tasks when required

What you'll need to succeedYou will need to be physically fit due to the nature of the tasks required. You will need to be able to work on a rota which may include working both night and day shifts and across 7 days so some weeks there will be weekend working.

You will also need a Enhanced DBS completed within the last 3 months and Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

What you'll get in return

£12.07 p/h plus overtime rates of:

  • Nights & Saturdays £17.03
  • Sundays £22.11 p/h
