Manpower is recruiting for a Head Lodge Porter for a 12-week temporary assignment with possibility of extension. The Head Porter has managerial responsibility for the Porters' Lodge, a primary point of contact for members of and visitors to the College. Operating 24 hours a day 365 days a year, the Lodge provides a reception, information, post, telephone and security service.
Leading a team of six Lodge Porters, the Head Porter has a key role within the College, presenting the face of the College to the many and varied groups that interact with the college community.
Details:
- 35 hour a week
- City centre job role - no parking on site
- Monday to Friday typically ( however if sickness / holiday occur, weekend shifts must be covered by yourself)
- Must be flexible on shifts and days, could be working 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, 10:00 - 18:00.
- 16.46 per hour
Essential
- Relevant managerial experience gained in a comparable role, either in a college Lodge or hotel reception
- Experience of planning for service delivery
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage effectively with a wide range
- of people
- Friendly, welcoming and professional manner and immaculately presented
- Able to deal appropriately with confidential matters
Desirable
- Front of house management experience
- Fire Marshal trained
- PMS management experience
- Security experience
