Housekeeping Manager - Oxford
We are seeking an Housekeeping Manager to oversee the planning and allocation of 450 student rooms and lead a team of up to 30 housekeeping staff. The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and skilled at prioritising and multitasking. This role requires someone with a strong background in accommodation management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Day to day of the role:
- Oversee the allocation and management of student accommodation facilities.
- Lead and manage a team of up to 30 housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service are maintained.
- Coordinate with various departments to support events or conferences, ensuring accommodation needs are met.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards across all student rooms and related facilities.
- Utilise IT skills for effective management, including the use of spreadsheets and data manipulation.
- Ensure compliance with COSHH and Health and Safety legislation relevant to the accommodation and housekeeping operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an accommodation management position within a hotel or college environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of housekeeping staff.
- Experience in supporting events or conferences.
- Excellent presentation and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly with spreadsheets and data management.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety legislation.
