We're working exclusively with a prestigious academic institution in Oxford to recruit proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to join their busy HR team on a fixed-term contract for 2 years.
This varied and rewarding role will support the Head of HR across a broad range of HR activities, with a particular focus on professional services staff. You'll be involved in recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, employee relations, payroll support, and project work. It's an ideal opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their generalist experience in a collaborative and values-led environment.

Key responsibilities:
. Manage recruitment campaigns from start to completion.
. Handle pre-employment checks and maintain employee records
. Provide monthly payroll data and absence reporting
. Support employee relations meetings and advise managers
. Coordinate training and wellbeing initiatives
. Maintain and report on HR metrics and system updates

What we're looking for:
. CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) and 2-3 years' HR experience
. Strong communication and organisation skills
. High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
. Confidence handling sensitive information
. Solid IT skills, especially Excel and HR systems
