IT Service Manager, Support Manager, COR7024

As part of continuing business growth, an IT Service Manager / Support Manager, is required to join one of the region's most successful accountancy firms.  Whilst the successful IT Service Manager / Support Manager will be based in the Oxford Office and will be able to work from home up to 2 days a week, there is an element of travel involved to various locations across the south of England.

The Role

The IT Service Manager / Support Manager, will join the IT team of a growing top 40 accountancy firm with offices in central and southern England, line managing a support team of 4 split across 2 locations, as they seek to provide an exceptional support service to c.500 users.  As well as leading the team and maintaining an element of hands-on support responsibilities, the IT Service Manager / Support Manager will coordinate and manage software updates across the firm's IT systems, managing 3rd party supplier relationships.  The IT Service Manager / Support Manager will also be responsible for performance reporting and improving issue resolution time, compliance and security, and general system maintenance.

What experience does the IT Service Manager / Support Manager need?

  • Solid IT support experience, coupled with existing experience of managing/leading IT service and supplier strategies
  • Experience gained with a professional services or similarly structured environment (accountancy, legal, consultancy, etc) is preferred
  • A breadth of experience across standard Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365 and IT security protocols and compliance standards
  • Proficiency in software and supplier management, systems maintenance and technical troubleshooting
