They have fantastic business relationships for translations with some of the industry's most recognised companies.Location of the job100%, fully remote working. Must be UK based.Job responsibilities of the Vendor Management CoordinatorTo join their international vendor management team, they wish to recruit a Vendor Management Coordinator. You will be working as part of an international team that focuses on locating new quality freelance resources through research, direct applications and other means. The varied and administrative role will mostly include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Locating new quality freelance resources through research, direct applications
  • On-boarding qualified linguists and other specialists - coordinating recruitment activities, skills validation and application processes, organizing evaluations and registering successful candidates on the Vendor Database
  • Negotiating vendor rates in line with price structure and under the supervision of the vendor manager
  • Assisting project managers in the use of the database
  • Dealing with job applications
  • Maintaining communication with project managers on updates to the database and new recruits
  • Engaging with freelancers and the freelancer community to build and maintain partnerships
  • Ad hoc tasks on request by the Vendor Manager

The successful candidate background

  • Fluent English is essential. Knowledge of a foreign language preferable but not essential
  • A recognized language degree or equivalent
  • Highly organized with excellent administrative skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good people skillsNumerate
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Proactive and flexible
  • PC literate with good experience of MS Office

This could be an excellent opportunity to a recent language graduate looking for an entry level role to get into the translation sector.
