Mechanical Systems & Integration Engineer

Contract - £35-£45/hour Inside IR35

We’re on the lookout for a highly skilled Systems & Integration Engineer to drive the development and integration of cutting-edge systems, assemblies, and components. If you're passionate about ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in engineering processes and thrive in a collaborative project environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee work packages, ensuring safety and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams (quality, supply chain, technicians) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, assembly, and safety requirements.
  • Develop manufacturing plans and assembly strategies aligned with project goals.
  • Import and align BoMs with the manufacturing plan/strategy.
  • Manage real-time design changes and document Non-Conformance issues.
  • Design and manage specialist tooling for build, inspection, and testing.
  • Contribute to hazard analysis, design reviews, and system validation.
  • Support the development of testing, commissioning, and supply chain specifications.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in systems integration, engineering design, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage real-time design changes.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning, assembly strategy, and risk reduction techniques.
