Job Advert: Principal Town Planner
Location: Oxford
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
 
Are you an experienced Town Planner with a passion for shaping vibrant communities and driving sustainable development? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Town Planner to join a dynamic, smaller multi-disciplinary consultancy based in the heart of Oxford.

The Role
As a Principal Town Planner, you will play a key role in leading and managing a variety of projects, predominantly in the private sector. You will work closely with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality planning solutions. Key Responsibilities
·Manage and deliver a portfolio of planning projects, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
·Provide expert advice to clients on planning strategies and regulations.
·Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
·Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.
·Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
·Stay updated on planning legislation and policies to ensure compliance and innovation.
 
About You
·To be successful in this role, you will need:
 
·MRTPI qualification (essential).
·Proven private sector planning experience, ideally within a consultancy setting.
·Strong project management and organisational skills.
·Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
·A proactive, client-focused approach with a keen eye for detail.
·A passion for creating sustainable and innovative solutions.
