My client is one of the most reputable law firms in the country and is seeking an ambitious and motivated Associate (NQ–2 years PQE) to join their Employment practice within their Oxford office. As part of their dynamic team, you will collaborate colleagues across the firm, handling employment-related matters. You will also have opportunities to engage in business development and grow your career in a supportive and professional environment.The Role: 
  • Handling a full range of employment law work, including advising clients within the education sector, Police Federation work, and both claimant (senior executive) and respondent matters.
  • Contributing to corporate support projects and working within the Education Sector group and Business Services Division.
  • Participating actively in business development initiatives and representing the firm positively at all times.
  • Providing high-quality, commercially focused legal advice while adhering to professional standards and ethics.
The Candidate:
  • A qualified solicitor (or due to qualify by March 2025) or equivalent (e.g., barrister or FILEX).
  • Strong technical knowledge of employment law and a willingness to learn and explore innovative solutions.
  • Experience in the Higher Education sector (desirable).
  • An entrepreneurial approach to business development and client engagement, with the confidence to undertake limited advocacy and deliver training sessions.
  • Commitment to quality, professionalism, and a client-focused approach.
