Our client is a boutique law firm that was founded by two City trained solicitors. They are based in Oxford and specialise in Intellectual Property law with an impressive roster of clients in the retail, fashion, arts, photography, food, publishing, medicine and technology sectors.
Description
The successful Intellectual Property Solicitor will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on Intellectual Property law matters (primarily, trade marks, design right and copyright)
- Advise on a broad range of commercial contracts
- Research complex legal queries (including AI and cross-border IP)
- Conduct proceedings in the IPEC, High Court and the IPO
- Prepare and file applications for registered trade mark and designs
- Ad hoc advice on broad commercial matters
Profile
A successful Intellectual Property Solicitor should have:
- 3+ years PQE
- The ability to provide excellent legal advice
- Strong knowledge of IP rights, copyrights and trademarks
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Good team working skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues
