An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Litigation Solicitor to join a Legal 500 firm with offices in Oxford. They are a full-service law firm that are seeking a Solicitor with a good understanding of the market to the ability to take on an existing varied caseload whilst also undertaking business development.

Duties will include:

  • Managing own caseload of a variety of contentious matters.
  • Managing most of the procedure from instruction through to settlement.
  • Providing a responsive service, giving clear and concise legal advice.
  • Experience of taking matters to court is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Attend to clients of the firm on a regular basis.
  • Be actively involved in the marketing and business development of the team and wider firm.
  • Maintaining continuing professional development requirements and taking an active interest in furthering knowledge within litigation.
  • To regularly attend and be involved in preparation for team meetings.

Desired skills:

  • A qualified Solicitor.
  • Experience in running your own caseload.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and advocacy skills.
  • Be proactive with an interest in business development.
