TSR Legal is currently recruiting for a dynamic Legal Assistant to join a legal 500 law firms Contested Wills, Trusts, and Inheritance Disputes team based in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to provide crucial administrative support to a high-performing team, enabling them to operate efficiently and meet their goals.

As a Legal Assistant, you will manage a varied administrative workload under the guidance of fee earners. You will play a key role in handling new client enquiries via email and telephone, gathering initial details, and coordinating with the team to ensure a smooth process. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with basic legal processes such as processing cases through portals, obtaining essential documentation, arranging case meetings, and liaising with the court. Additionally, you will handle the processing of payments.

Your role will involve providing comprehensive administrative support to fee earners, including tasks such as file opening, managing telephone communications, producing documents (including audio-typing and managing voice recognition), filing, archiving, photocopying, managing emails, overseeing online portals, scheduling key dates, and handling post. You will also be responsible for drafting documents and bills under supervision, using established precedents and templates to accurately reflect fee earner instructions, including completing court forms, drafting pleadings, preparing witness statements, and assembling court bundles.

Furthermore, you will assist with business development and marketing activities by booking facilities, organizing refreshments, preparing presentation materials, and handling related marketing documentation.

The ideal candidate will have previous litigation experience in a Legal Assistant or Administrative role, possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively, and demonstrate a solid understanding of Microsoft Office and other relevant IT platforms. Strong written communication skills and a good understanding of client relationship management are essential for success in this role.
