We are a pioneering design and manufacturing organisation with a new, highly innovative product range. Due to growth and further expansion, we are looking for a talented Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to work as part of ourdynamicteam. As such, you will have the ability to make a real difference to how our products are made and be a key member of the team as we continue to develop.
This will be a new product (NPI)/ design for manufacture (DFM) focussed Manufacturing Engineering / Production Engineering role working closely with R&D and production operations to support product ramp up / scale up and ultimately supporting how we plan, document and build our products to personify and improve product performance.
Key accountabilities as Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer will include:
- New product Introduction (NPI) working closely with R&D and operations to support the transition of new products from design into full scale manufacture.
- Design for Manufacture (DFM) - Analysis of new designs to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) & DFA criteria is met, and looking at innovative ways to improve build and processes.
- Identifying and tooling of jig / fixturing requirements for new products
- Liaising with any sub-contract manufacturers during the development and initial phases to ensure ability to deliver on scale
- Working with the team to ensure best practice is built, through the use of lean tools and techniques such as FMEAs etc
To succeed in this interesting and varied role with real ongoing personal development, you will likley be:
- A Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer with experience gained in an electro-mechanical assembly or related assembly environment looking for a fresh new opportunity where you can make a difference
- Be qualified in an electronic/electrical or mechanical engineering discipline or have relevant industry experience.
- Proven New Product Introduction (NPI) / Design for Manufacture (DFM) experience
- Be an innovative thinker who can work with a motivated team on a product they are passionate about.
