Our client is a leading manufacturer with fabrication and welding processes on site. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a Welding Engineer to join the company and bring fresh ideas to the New Process and Product Introduction, as well as Continuous Improvements on site.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Working within the engineering department
  • Liaising with process engineers and welders
  • Design and develop welding systems and processes
  • Working to improve processes and production capacity
  • Defining manual, semi-automated & fully automated welding procedures and processes
  • Reviewing existing welding processes
  • Analyzing, reviewing and implementing various inspection and analysis methodologies, e.g. radiography, sectioning, process FMEA, risk assessments ect.
  • Checking welding equipment is fit for purposeand recommending new equipment
  • Complying with the regulatory requirements of AD Merkblatt, PD5500 and EN13445.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • A strong background in welding within a manufacturing facility
  • Experience in high complexity welding processes as well as joining and bonding techniques, fabrication and metal-forming methods.
  • Experience in delivery of new technology and product projects.
  • Knowledge of design and regulatory requirements for the pressure vessel industry- AD Merkblatt, PD5500 and EN13445
