What you'll do:
As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's commercial buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring that all works are completed in line with health and safety policies and procedures. Your proactive nature will shine as you respond to, escalate, record, and complete reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance across the site. Your technical skills will be put to good use as you repair and refurbish plant equipment efficiently to minimise downtime. You will also play a key role in legal compliance and record-keeping for all services.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with H&S policies & procedures.
- Respond to, escalate, record and complete reactive, planned & preventative maintenance across the site.
- Complete & develop PPM schedules on full range of facilities and equipment.
- Repair and refurbish plant and equipment in most efficient manner to minimise downtime.
- Responsible for site services equipment including: goods lifts, sprinkler, HVAC, heating systems, Compressed air systems.
- Legal compliance and record keeping for all services - water/air/electricity Utilities Plant specific legislation Legionella (i.e. Boiler Operation, LV&HV distribution, Pressure Systems, Emergency Lighting & Fire Alarm System etc.).
- Identify process and method improvements and cost saving opportunities.
- Advise and train other maintenance operatives as required.
- Support supervision of sub-contractors working within associated buildings.

You have spent time honing your skills in both mechanical and electrical functions and are comfortable using computer business system software. Your problem-solving abilities are second to none, and you have a proven track record of diagnosing and rectifying faults under pressure. You're known for your attention to detail and organisational skills, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Time served, multi skilled with NVQ (level 3) or equivalent qualification.
- 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification essential
- Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
- Good knowledge of the latest regulatory and statutory regulation.
- Experience in problem solving and fault finding in mechanical & electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose faults and rectify them under pressure.
- Experience with computer business system software.
- Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills.
- Proactive nature with ability to work under pressure to tight time scales.
