  • Designing and developing mechanical systems that are integral to our advanced laser communication systems.
  • Preparing detailed engineering drawings with precision and clarity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve design and integration challenges.
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Supporting prototype assembly and testing, including hands-on troubleshooting and iterative design improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: 5+ years in mechanical design engineering, ideally in high-precision or aerospace sectors.
  • Software Skills: Minimum of 2 years’ SolidWorks experience (PDM experience is a bonus).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes for precision assemblies.
  • Drawing Expertise: Skilled in producing detailed engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Supplier Management: Confident managing suppliers to bring designs to production successfully.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Bonus Skills:
  • Familiarity with FEA tools like ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.
  • Experience with opto-mechanical or high-precision systems.
  • Previous work in an R&D environment.
