The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of critical components for the Formula 1 car. Collaborating closely with engineers across aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, and manufacturing, you will contribute to delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance performance on the track.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance mechanical components and systems.
- Conduct structural and thermal analysis
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure components are produced to the highest standards.
- Perform design validation, testing, and refinement
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing complex components, ideally within motorsport or high-performance engineering. (Formula 1 experience is highly desirable)
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g. CATIA, 3DX or Siemens NX)
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with FEA and CFD tools for structural and thermal analysis.
