Our client, a leading lab facility in Oxford, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their maintenance team. This is a static role based on-site, working with various mechanical systems, including lighting and ventilation, ensuring the lab operates at peak efficiency.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of key mechanical systems on-site. The role is days only, from 7am to 7pm, with the possibility of call-outs (to be established). This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in building services or lab facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of lighting, ventilation, and other mechanical systems across the site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise within the facility.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and on-site teams to ensure the smooth operation of building services.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the lab environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within building services or lab environments.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, including lighting and ventilation.
  • Ability to work independently on a static site.
  • Proactive attitude, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Shift Details:

  • Days only: 7am - 7pm
  • 4 on 4 off
  • Call-out structure to be established.
