About the role of Assembly Technician at ICEoxfordWe are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and talented Assembly Technician to provide crucial support in the manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient assembly of products, leak testing of systems and ensuring our high-quality standards are met. You will collaborate closely with test engineers and other production team members to optimise processes and resolve technical issues.This is an important role in our Production team and will suit someone with excellent communication and relationship building skills, who is a strong team player that works with enthusiasm and initiative. The ideal candidate shall have proven experience working with the assembly of scientific equipment and welding, soldering and fabricating experience would be desirable.

This role requires:

  • Assembly of products in line with QA System and drawings, maintaining quality in line with company expectations.
  • Leak testing of systems with helium.
  • Tig welding, hard and soft soldering of parts.
  • Occasional use of manual lathe and mill.
  • Booking parts out of stores in line with correct procedure.
  • Completing modification sheets as necessary
  • Actively working to improve products and increase efficiency of assembly processes.
  • Supplying information when required for Production QA Work Instructions.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of build files/route cards.
  • Identifying tooling and equipment requirements to improve efficiency within assembly
