Job Title: Proof Test Operative

Salary: £26 - £27 000.00 p/a.

Job Overview:
The Proof Operative is responsible for undertaking a variety of processes including pyro proofing of pyrotechnic devices for the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identification of proof chamber parts to drawing, assembly and disassembly of chamber assemblies, cleaning of chambers and detail components.
- Set up appropriate firing mechanisms.
- Load cartridge / rocket motors.
- Arm cartridge / rocket motors.
- Fire cartridge / rocket motors.
- Collect and analyse firing data.
- Work to correct QAIs, tech notes and identification of correct drawings.
- Updating SAP.
- Pressure testing of proof chambers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- H&S policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
GCSEs (Grades A C).
