- £21 per hour (Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 20:00)
- £24 per hour (Saturdays and nights)
- £27 per hour (Sundays and Bank Holidays)
- Provide safe, person-centred nursing care to children and young people in a CAMHS inpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments, contribute to care planning, and ensure effective implementation of care plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, offering support to both young people and their families.
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner, demonstrating emotional robustness and resilience.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults, acting in the best interests of the patients at all times.
- Work within established policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of nursing practice.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC registration.
- Proven CAMHS experience is essential for this role.
- Ability to work a flexible 24-hour shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with young people and their families.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively and to remain calm under pressure.
- A reliable and trustworthy individual with a good sickness record.
- Genuine interest and commitment to working with young people and their families, promoting their mental health and well-being.
- Additional experience in working within an adolescent mental health setting or in inpatient CAMHS units.
- Knowledge of relevant mental health frameworks and policies, including safeguarding legislation.
