Job type: Supply, temporary (flexible cover). Day shift, Flexitime, No weekends

Shift and schedule: 08:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday - to be contacted on call to cover any sickness or vacancies required.

Your Role as a Supply Teacher, Oxford:

  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity in Oxford students' learning.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain order and a positive learning environment by effectively managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Adaptability: Quickly familiarise yourself with school routines, policies, and expectations to ensure a seamless teaching experience.
  • Support Learning: Encourage and support students to engage with the lessons and complete their work to the best of their ability.
  • Record Keeping: Mark attendance, report any incidents, and provide feedback on lesson progress for the regular teacher.
  • Professionalism: Represent the school positively by maintaining a professional demeanour and building rapport with staff and students.
