Description
Commercial Contracts:
* Review, draft, and maintain a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, licensing, and partnership contracts.* Ensure contracts are compliant with company policies and relevant laws.
Commercial Property Transactions:
* Prepare and review legal documents related to property leases, licenses, and acquisitions.* Conduct property searches and manage Land Registry applications.* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as surveyors and solicitors, to ensure smooth transactions.Copyright and Intellectual Property (IP) Claims:* Assist in managing copyright and IP-related disputes.* Draft and respond to cease-and-desist letters.* Support the legal team in protecting and enforcing the company's intellectual property rights.
Data Protection and Privacy:
* Assist in responding to data protection-related requests, complaints and queries, including SAR, ensuring requests are processed accurately within regulatory deadlines, * Help ensure compliance with UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UKGDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018 ("DPA 2018").* Provide support in reviewing and maintaining data protection policies and procedures.Administrative Support:* Manage and organise legal documentation and files.* Maintain accurate records of transactions and legal matters.* Provide general administrative support to the legal team as required.* Update legal databases and internal reports.
Profile
* Have a keen interest in commercial, commercial property, IP, and privacy law.* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.* Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.* Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.* Be familiar with legal documentation and terminology (experience with commercial property or IP law is advantageous).* Have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).* Hold a degree in law or a related field, or have equivalent paralegal qualifications or experience.
Job Offer
