Job Title: Bid Manager / Bid Coordinator

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bid Manager / Bid Coordinator to lead and manage our tender submissions, PQQs, and EOIs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the construction industry, with specific experience in education, healthcare, and defense sectors. This role requires a proactive individual who can build relationships, strategize effectively, and deliver high-quality, visually compelling proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Spearhead the development and submission of tender proposals, PQQs, and EOIs, ensuring they are compelling and meet the highest standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the tender team to coordinate, prepare, and submit comprehensive tender proposals.
  • Data Gathering: Establish productive relationships with key managers across business units to gather relevant data, showcasing local best practices, initiatives, and successes.
  • Document Review and Strategy: Conduct thorough reviews of EOI, PQQ, tender, and bid documents, focusing on bid requirements and scoring criteria to formulate effective bid strategies.
  • Writing and Content Creation: Craft persuasive and high-quality responses to bid questions, aligning with the scoring criteria.
  • Creative Design: Design visually appealing PQQ and tender submission documents, utilizing software, graphics, and photos to enhance proposals.
  • Team Collaboration: Ensure all key elements of the bid are incorporated into submissions through effective teamwork and communication.

Required Experience:

  • Bidding Expertise: Proven experience in successfully bidding and participating in regional and/or national frameworks.
  • Sector Experience: Demonstrated experience in various construction sectors, particularly in education, healthcare, and defense.
  • Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with framework delivery methods, requirements, and forms of contract, including design and build, and two-stage negotiated projects.
  • Procurement Methods: Understanding of public procurement methods.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with experience using Adobe InDesign.
  • Project Experience: Ability to prepare submissions for projects up to 30 million.

Preferred Experience:

  • Construction Knowledge: Technical understanding of construction processes and logistics.
  • Logistics Planning: Confidence in preparing detailed logistic plans and construction methodologies.
  • 3D Modelling: Ability to use SketchUp for creating 3D logistical layouts and conveying construction methodologies.
  • Project Programming: Experience with Asta Powerproject for programming simpler projects.
