We are seeking an Aviation Purchaser who will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring aircraft parts, components, and equipment to support operational and maintenance needs. As the Purchaser this role requires strong market knowledge, supplier relationship management, and the ability to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining compliance with aviation regulations.

Responsibilities
- Procurement & Sourcing: Identify and procure aircraft parts, tools, and components from approved vendors, OEMs, and surplus markets.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, MROs, and manufacturers to secure the best pricing and lead times.
- Market Research: Monitor market trends, availability, and pricing for aviation parts and materials to ensure competitive procurement.
- Negotiation & Cost Management: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with vendors to optimize cost savings while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, CAA) and company quality standards.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to manage stock levels, track shipments, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and certifications.
- Vendor Performance Evaluation: Assess supplier performance based on quality, reliability, pricing, and service levels.
- Emergency Procurement: Source critical aircraft components urgently to minimize downtime and support operational requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Aviation Management, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 3 years in aviation purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within business aviation.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA) and aircraft financing structures.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft parts, materials, and aviation procurement regulations.
- Experience working with aviation parts databases such as ILS, PartsBase, etc.
- Proficiency in procurement software related to aircraft acquisition.
- Ability to analyse procurement data and market trends for cost-effective decision-making.
- Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills.
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance operations and spare parts logistics.
- Procurement or supply chain management certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or APICS.
