JOB- Quality Inspector
LOCATION- Oxfordshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £28,000-£30,000 per annum

We are looking forQuality Inspector on a permanent basis in theOxfordshire area to perform dimensional checks on a range of complex components in a fast paced & friendly work environment within the marine industry.

The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following attributes:

HNC or work based equivalent in Mechanical Engineering field
Ability to understand engineering instructions, processes, and drawings
Good understanding of GD&T
2 years experience in a Quality inspector role in production environment
Fundamental knowledge of manual measurement
Keen eye for detail

The Quality Inspector role will involve:

Goods In inspection against drawing and criteria from Quality Engineer
Mechanical sub assembly inspections to ensure the build quality meets the required standard with no clear consistancies
Monitor supplier quality performance, percentage of first pass yields of components
Quarantine stock for obsolete and poor quality
Write non-conformance reports for assemblies and discrepancies with materials that do not meet the specification, for internal and external use
Fundamental knowledge of manual measurement
Keen eye for detail
Takes responsibility for ownership of issues and problems providing effective practical solutions
