JOB- Quality Inspector
LOCATION- Oxfordshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £28,000-£30,000 per annum

We are looking forQuality Inspector on a permanent basis in theOxfordshire area to perform dimensional checks on a range of complex components in a fast paced & friendly work environment within the marine industry.

The Quality Inspector will ideally have the following attributes:
  • HNC or work based equivalent in Mechanical Engineering field
  • Ability to understand engineering instructions, processes, and drawings
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • 2 years experience in a Quality inspector role in production environment
  • Fundamental knowledge of manual measurement
  • Keen eye for detail
The Quality Inspector role will involve:
  • Goods In inspection against drawing and criteria from Quality Engineer
  • Mechanical sub assembly inspections to ensure the build quality meets the required standard with no clear consistancies
  • Monitor supplier quality performance, percentage of first pass yields of components
  • Quarantine stock for obsolete and poor quality
  • Write non-conformance reports for assemblies and discrepancies with materials that do not meet the specification, for internal and external use
  • Fundamental knowledge of manual measurement
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Takes responsibility for ownership of issues and problems providing effective practical solutions
