Job Description: They are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor with a mechanical bias, specifically in HVAC or plumbing, to join a large team at a commercial site near Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance activities, and maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate and prioritise maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Liaise with subcontractors and external vendors as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and documentation of compliance.
- Monitor and manage budgets for maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a maintenance role with a mechanical bias, preferably in a commercial setting.
- Qualifications in HVAC or plumbing are essential.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
