Morrison Energy Services is currently looking to recruit aProject Managerto work on a project based in Cowley, Oxfordshire.
The project is working on a customer connection to the National Grid Electricity Transmission Transformer Tertiary System at the Cowley site.
As a Project Manager your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Leading the construction team in delivering the project, through the end-to-end process from project initiation to completion
- Strategic health, safety and environmental management and leadership to drive the highest standards
- Delivery of the project to the agreed time, cost and quality requirements
- Work closely with the planning team to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress is monitored
- Drive the Project team ethos to ensure the delivery team function as a cohesive management team
- Drive risk management for the Project
- Provide leadership and guidance on technical and contractual matters to ensure timely resolution
- Support the preparation of monthly CVR in conjunction with the Commercial Manager
- Being commercially astute, lead the management team to deliver the balanced scorecard and meet/exceed contract financial terms and targets
- Commercially minded with experience on NEC3/4 contracts
- Previous project management experience with National Grid projects
- Knowledge of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution industry is essential
- Able to demonstrate ownership of a portfolio of projects of varying values and complexities
- Effective communication skills

- Appreciation and understanding of commercial management
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Hold a relevant Project Management qualification or equivalent
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel frequently
