Alma Personnel are currently working with a retail client who are recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join their small, friendly team.

This role would suit someone from a purchasing background who is looking for career progression as a Buyer, or a Junior Buyer who is ready for a new challenge.

The duties of an Assistant Buyer will include:

  • Supporting the Senior Buyer in sourcing products
  • Researching competitors and market trends
  • Managing suppliers, and negotiating prices
  • Raising and monitoring purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
  • Organising samples and writing accurate product descriptions for the company website
  • Resolving any customer quality issues

The Assistant Buyer will possess:

  • Strong numerical skills and proficient in excel
  • A proactive and positive approach
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure
  • Good standard of written English

The company offer a competitive salary, they also offer hybrid working once the successful candidate has settled in to the role. Due to the location of the company a driving licence will be required.
