Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate the best possible commercial conditions for the business, in collaboration with internal l clients, including Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
- Construct bid templates in Procurement e-bidding tools to support regular bidding activities (RFI & RFP)
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and identify new suppliers
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities
- Ensure price / rate / route accuracy in Transportation Management System (TMS) and SAP
Candidate Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Buying, Procurement, Supplier Negotiation and Contract Management experience
- Logistics or Transport category experience will be advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross-functional colleagues and external parties.
- Proficiency in SAP and analytical tools/reporting software, familiarity with TMS would be an advantage
