Our client, based in Oxfordshire, is seeking a Buyers Admin Assistant to join their team. A leading mail order and online retailer, this is an exciting opportunity to join an established team and contribute to the success of the Buying Team.

This full-time role offers a chance to build skills and experience in on online retail industry, whilst honing your Administration and Excel skills.

Due to the rural location of the office, a car and driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities of the Buying Admin Assistant

  • Manage supplier relationships, including ordering, logging, and returning samples.
  • Organise samples for selection meetings, range reviews, and photo shoots.
  • Accurately record product information using Excel and maintain related paperwork.
  • Write detailed and accurate product descriptions for use in catalogues and online.
  • Handle warehouse and customer queries, resolving quality issues and providing additional information.
  • Assist the team with ad hoc administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage and interpret data efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written English for producing accurate and engaging product descriptions.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • A driving license is essential due to the rural location of the workplace.
