Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in buying? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and support the Lead Homewares Buyer in all day-to-day buying activities. This role offers a chance to work closely with suppliers, marketing and help launch a wonderful and diverse range of homewares products to a loyal customer base.
In the role of Buying Assistant, you’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the Buyer in the ordering, logging, and returning of samples from suppliers.
- Managing the organization of samples for selection, range reviews, and shoots.
- Accurately logging all samples on selection spreadsheets.
- Managing the sample invoices, processing these, and raising debit notes as required.
To be considered for the role as a Buying Assistant, you must have the following skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- Office-based administrative experience
- A confident and articulate phone manner
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A full driving licence and own car
