We are seeking a Category Buyer to manage procurement activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to support R&D, production, supply chain, and field maintenance. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and involves managing supplier relationships, monitoring orders, and addressing risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase items/services for production, R&D, and supply chain needs.
  • Place and manage purchase orders using the ERP system, ensure on-time delivery, and address supplier issues.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and resolve quality issues.
  • Identify and escalate supply issues impacting production schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support cost reduction and enhance procurement processes.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and managing supply chain risks.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data and produce reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
Qualifications
  • CIPS qualification is desired
  • Similar experience in a buyer or purchasing role
