This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable regional Main Contractor working on projects in Oxfordshire
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
This is an opportunity to join a leading regional Main contractor who have gone from strength to strength over the past 4 years and have secured further work across the region. You will be working as part of a commercial team with support from a Senior Quantity Surveyor on site managing packages from 2-stage tender through to final accounts. The project will be starting on site beginning of Q3, valued at 17m and runs for approx 18 months. The project is complex with lots of change, remeasure and variations. This is a full time office/site based position.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:
The company are looking for a candidate who has strong negotiation and communication skills, is organised and has high attention to detail. You will come from a Main contractor background, and be competent in managing subcontractor packages with minimal assistance. You will be highly motivated and ambitious as there is opportunity to progress your career with the team. You will ideally also have the following
- Degree in a construction related subject
- Experience with JCT Traditional contract
- Ability to remeasure on site (not from drawings)
- Minimum of 4 years experience with another main contractor
