We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a major civils infrastructure project based in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in delivering a high-profile and technically challenging project in the region.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring cost control and budget management throughout its lifecycle. This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in the civils sector who is looking to further develop their career.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:
- Managing project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting
- Preparing and negotiating contracts in compliance with NEC or other frameworks
- Supporting the preparation and submission of final accounts
- Collaborating with the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any cost-related issues
- Providing financial advice and regular reporting to stakeholders
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the civils or infrastructure sector
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in cost management tools and Excel
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with the wider project team
