About The Contractor:
Reddbrick are recruiting for a regional contractor with a proven track record of successfully deliveringconstruction projects.Currently, they are seeking aQuantity Surveyor to join their team and manage a High Rise project in Oxford. The duration and contract term will be 2 years.
Quantity Surveyor Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managingthe commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Conducting cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans
- Conducting the subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms.
- Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management
- Collaborating with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions
- Managing the preparationand submittal ofmonthly reports on project financial performance
- Conducting cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements
- The role will involve general Quantity Surveyor duties but will not be limited to these duties alone.
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
- Relevantdegree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- A strong understanding offorms of construction contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Experience of commercial builds and taking responsibility for projects up to the value of 5m
