The Project:
Circa 25m 2-stage tender in Oxford, working for a principal contractor.
Level of Quantity Surveyor needed:
Either Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor (depending on skill set)
The role:
Initially the Quantity Surveyor would be focussing on sub-contract procurement; carrying out comparisons, making recommendations to the client team, mostly closing off some of the internals packages (finishing trades - drylining, ceilings, floor finishes).
The job is fairly complex, central Oxford works - so tight construction site experience would be useful (not be all or end all, but would certainly help) working for a main contractor (principal contractor).
The role could be 2/3 days on site and the remainder hybrid - to fit in to an existing team (2 other QS's there atm at QS level and a trainee QS.
The role is for about 3-4 months initially and if the job goes live there is a good chance it could be for the duration. The contractor is on site atm, doing enabling works.
Potentially have another project which is a 2-stage tender, which they are pricing from the ground up - 20m that could land in the next 4 weeks. So, lots going on.
Start Date:
Mid-April but can start someone sooner.
