About the role of Quantity Surveyor
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's growing main contractors who have over 100 years of experience. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be the package manager on a 70m Life science project in Oxford. You will be working under a Senior Quantity Surveyor whilst operating alongside a Trainee Quantity Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:
- Supporting the team on all commercial aspects of the project and providing assistance to decision making
- Monitoring control costs against agreed budgets resulting in preparing and finalising valuations and final accounts
- Liaising with customers and third parties on all commercial matters especially after preparing and agreeing on any necessary claims for reimbursements and loss or expenses
- Managing the full down stream process for relevant packages
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:
The company are seeking a highly organised Quantity Surveyor with strong communication and negotiation skills. You will be able to work within a fast-paced environment, showing initiative through your immaculate problem-solving skills.
- 4 - 5 years of experience as a post-graduate Quantity Surveyor
- Ideally have experience with JCT & NEC Form Contracts
- Worked on projects valued at 50m+
